Abstract: ABSTRACT This project is about a smart device that helps people who blind, speech-impaired,deaf or walk on their own. At first, we noticed that everything at this time assistive devices have limited functions and usually only help with one part of life, which is costly. We made one device that does three important things: it lets blind people know what's around them, it lets caregivers know where the blind person is, and it lets people with limited use of their hands control the device with their voices. The ESP32 microcontroller is the first part of the device and serves as its "brain." There is a tiny photo-capturing device for the area around it and sends them to a computer. The computer uses a YOLOv5 AI model to find things in the picture. When it finds something, the device will say the name of that thing through the speaker. The device uses a GPS module to keep track of where the blind person is at all times and sends updates on their location to the caregiver's computer over the Internet. The a person can also give commands to the device what to do with their voice instead of their hands. The device was tested and correctly identified objects 88% of the time when there was enough light. It also responded to the user in an average of 1.45 seconds after they asked for a response.
