Abstract: ABSTRACT TRIPLE-BAND IMPLANTABLE CAPSULE ANTENNA WITH T-SHAPED AND LOZENGE-SHAPED RESONATORS An implantable triple-band capsule antenna (100) for biomedical telemetry applications includes a radiating patch disposed on a first surface of a dielectric substrate (102). The radiating patch includes an inverted T-shaped resonator (104) having a horizontal radiating arm connected to a central vertical feed arm (106). A pair of lozenge-shaped resonators (108) are symmetrically disposed on opposite sides of the central vertical feed arm (106) and electromagnetically coupled to the inverted T-shaped resonator (104). A pair of auxiliary lozenge-shaped resonators (110) are positioned adjacent to the respective lozenge-shaped resonators (108). A ground plane (114) is disposed on a second surface of the dielectric substrate (102) and includes a rectangular slot (116) configured to modify ground current distribution. A microstrip feed line (112) extends from a lower edge of the dielectric substrate (102) to the inverted T-shaped resonator (104). A biocompatible capsule (118) encapsulates the dielectric substrate (102), the radiating patch, and the ground plane (114). Cooperative electromagnetic coupling between the resonator elements and the rectangular slot (116) generates triple-band resonance at approximately 0.902 GHz, 1.4 GHz, and 1.9 GHz.
