MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617059724 A) filed by Herrenknecht Aktiengesellschaft on May 11, 2026, for Tunnelling Machine.
Inventors include Isele, Dietmar; and Feisst, Albert.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a tunnelling machine in which a sealing assembly (212) is provided which has a first internal chamber (369) and a second internal chamber (372) to which lubricants can be applied via a fluid-supply assembly. A pressure in the first internal chamber (369) can be adjusted by the fluid-supply assembly such that the pressure is between a pressure in a head chamber (306), which is at the front in the advancing direction of the first internal chamber (369), and a pressure in the second internal chamber (372), which is behind the first internal chamber (369) in the advancing direction. As a result, and also for environmental-protection reasons, loss-free lubrication is advantageously achieved, and mixing of the lubricant present in the first internal chamber (369) with components of other substance families present in the head chamber (306) is prevented.
