MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641087057 A) filed by New Horizon College Of Engineering on July 16, 2026, for Two-Finger Wearable Pet Trimmer Device With Enclosed Finger-Cap Blades.

Inventors include Tarunika Sharma; and Vandana Ahuja.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: A wearable, two-finger pet trimmer with integrated finger-cap blades is revealed for accurately and safely cutting pet fur. The device consists of a first finger cap that the user can wear on their index finger and a second finger cap that they can wear on their middle finger. Each finger cap has a blade assembly that is coupled by a pivot mechanism to allow for scissor-like cutting motion in response to finger movements. In order to prevent the cutting edges from coming into direct touch with a pet's skin while yet being able to engage and trim fur, the blades are largely encased within protective finger-cap constructions. The device offers a small, light, and easy-to- use grooming solution that blends convenience of use, accuracy, and safety.
