MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124956 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad on October 19, 2026, for Unified Fpga-Based Avionics Communication Monitoring And Datacorrelation System.
Inventors include Narasimhulu Pillutla; and Shishir Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (200) monitors a plurality of MIL-STD-1553B buses (106) using transceiver interfaces (204) coupled to a field-programmable gate array (202). The field-programmable gate array (202) includes MIL-STD-1553B controller cores (206) configured as monitoring terminals to capture bus traffic, buffer memory (208) configured to store captured bus traffic while bridging bus acquisition rates to an Ethernet transmission rate, an on-chip interconnect fabric (210) coupled between the controller cores (206) and a soft processor (214), and a common timer (212) shared by the controller cores (206) to provide a unified timestamp. The soft processor (214) retrieves buffered bus data, appends the unified timestamp and a packet sequence number (408), and forms a UDP datagram having the buffered bus data, the unified timestamp, and the packet sequence number (408). An Ethernet controller (216) transmits the UDP datagram through a physical-layer interface (218) over a local area network (110) to a remote computer (112) for synchronized remote analysis.
