The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a unified solar-powered Internet of Things (IoT) node for precision agricultural data acquisition. The system integrates a soil nitrogen- phosphorus-potassium (NPK) sensor, a soil pH sensor and a weather sensor suite comprising one or more of temperature, humidity and rainfall sensors through a synchronized data acquisition bus. An edge artificial intelligence preprocessing module receives the acquired multivariate sensor data and performs data-quality processing before wireless transmission. The preprocessing module comprises a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) based imputation mechanism for reconstructing missing or gapped sensor observations and an Isolation Forest based anomaly detection mechanism for identifying noisy or abnormal sensor observations. The processed data are transmitted through a low-power long-range LoRaWAN communication module to a remote server or farmer dashboard. A solar energy harvesting unit comprising a solar panel, charge controller and rechargeable battery supplies power to the sensing, processing and communication subsystems. An adaptive power- management mechanism may duty-cycle selected subsystems according to available harvested energy. The integrated architecture provides synchronized agricultural sensing, edge-based data preprocessing, low-power long-range communication and solar-assisted autonomous operation for remote and off-grid agricultural monitoring.
