MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541006070 A) filed by Bharat Electronics Limited on January 24, 2025, for Universal Wave Motion Simulator For Antenna Testing.
Inventors include Sanjay Kumar Tiwari; Anup Kumar Chaubey; and Abhinav Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wave motion simulator (400) for precise emulation of roll and pitch motions. The wave motion simulator (400) includes a base platform (402) fixed to the ground, a roll platform (404) mounted via fixed pivots (406) enabling rotational motion along the roll axis through a first actuator (408), and a pitch platform (410) mounted on the roll platform via pivots (414), allowing rotational motion along the pitch axis driven by a second actuator (412). The configuration minimizes load transfer between actuators, optimizing power utilization. Features include linear actuators such as electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic, revolute joints reducing lateral forces, counterweights for reduced actuator effort, independent motion control, scalability for various sea states, and provisions for payload adjustments and redundancy. It supports rotating payloads like antennas, adding yaw motion capabilities for versatile applications. Figure 4A will be the reference.
