MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647084527 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated on July 09, 2026, for Uplink Transmit Switching With Three Transmit Chains.
Inventors include Takeda, Kazuki; and Cao, Yiqing.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: Aspects relate to a mechanism for uplink transmit switching with three transmit chains at a user equipment (UE). The UE may switch from a first transmit chain state to a second transmit chain state based on an antenna port configuration for a scheduled uplink transmission. The antenna port configuration may include up to three antenna ports, each associated with a respective transmit chain of a plurality of transmit chains on the UE. The first transmit chain state may support up to one transmit chain on a first frequency band and up to two transmit chains on a second frequency band, whereas the second transmit chain state may support up to two transmit chains on the first frequency band and up to one transmit chain on the second frequency band.
