Abstract: A usage-based tissue dispensing device with adaptive sanitization, comprises a housing 101, a motorized cylindrical holder shaft 102 to support a refillable tissue roll and rotate to allow tissue to be smoothly drawn during dispensing, a pair of motorized rollers 104 to rotate on their axis to advance the tissue for sanitization prior to dispensing, a sanitizing unit to generate an ultrafine mist and uniformly deposit disinfectant onto the tissue surface without excessive wetting, a pair of motorized spindles 108 to rotate on their axis to advance the tissue outward post-sanitization toward a dispensing outlet 201, a sensing unit 202 to verify simultaneous contact and handling motion, upon which a hinged lid 203 opens and simultaneously the spindles 108 rotates to advance tissue through the outlet 201, and a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor 109 to measure roll diameter and estimate remaining tissue quantity.
