Abstract: A utensil gripping assistive device, comprises of an elongated body 101 having top and bottom end, gripped by a user to position the top end in proximity to a utensil that is to be gripped, a microphone 103 to receive voice command of the user regarding gripping of the utensil in a hands free manner, a suction unit 110 to create a negative pressure to affix the body 101 with a fixed surface as positioned by the user, an imaging unit 104 to determine a thickness of the mouth portion, a first electromagnetic spring 105 installed with inner periphery of the frame 102 to contract in view of gripping the mouth portion in between curved hooks 106 configured with each end of the frame 102, and layered with a silicone member that provides friction to the hooks 106 enable the hooks 106 to grip the utensil in a secured manner.
