The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT Variable Volume Dispensing Syringe with Adjustable Wedge Mechanism and Locking Protrusion A syringe for dispensing a controlled volume of liquid or sample is disclosed, comprising a barrel [103], plunger [101] or handle [106], and a two- step wedge system [102] with a first wedge [102a] and a second wedge [102b]. The syringe operates in two configurations: one with the embodiment [100] attached to the plunger [101] and wedges [102] attached to the barrel [103], and another with the embodiment [100] attached to the barrel [103] and wedges [102] attached to the plunger [101]. The first wedge [102a] dispenses a first controlled volume, typically discarded as waste, while the second wedge [102b] dispenses the remaining sample after a twisting motion aligns the embodiment [100] with the second wedge [102b]. A protrusion [104] in the second wedge [102b] locks into the embodiment’s [100] groove [105], preventing further dispensing. The syringe also allows for adjustable volume control by modifying the distance between the wedges [102a][102b] or the movement of the embodiment [100].
