Abstract: The present invention pertains to a clinical decision-support system and structured bedside assessment method — herein designated VasoGuard — designed to facilitate the structured vascular risk stratification and early identification of danger signs in patients with diabetes mellitus who present with active foot ulcers. The invention• addresses a significant and unmet clinical need: in high-volume, resource-limited government-sector outpatient departments and in tele-consultation settings, the bedside assessment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in diabetic foot ulcer patients is rarely performed in a systematic, guideline-aligned manner, resulting in preventable delays in vascular referral and avoidable lower-limb amputations. VasoGuard structures the clinical vascular examination across three validated domains — Wound severity (W, Grade 0-3), Ischaemia grade (I, Grade 0-3), and foot Infection severity (fl, Grade 0-3) — to generate a real-time composite limb-threat stage (Stage 1 — Very Low through Stage 4 — High) and an explicit, named set of eight • clapg, ristign flags .,A1,1 clinjcal rairg sJoJdsarpc.pligr0.0ivithA9 20g3 In,teFtsucialatt IWGDF-ESVS-SVS
