The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION: The present invention relates to a vegetable bio-waste-derived transparent biofilm and a method for preparation thereof. The biofilm comprises one or more naturally derived pigment or dye extracts obtained from vegetable bio-waste, dispersed within a transparent resin matrix, and optionally titanium dioxide (h02) nanoparticles as a functional additive. The method comprises selecting, cleaning and drying the vegetable bio-waste, extracting naturally occurring pigments or dyes using an extraction solvent, separating the extracted constituents from solid residues, and incorporating the resulting pigment or dye solution into a transparent resin to form a substantially homogeneous film-forming composition. The composition is deposited onto a substantially flat substrate, levelled to obtain a substantially uniform film layer, and cured, preferably using ultraviolet radiation, to produce a transparent or naturally tinted transparent biofilm. In particular embodiments, the biofilm incorporates combinations of vegetablederived pigment, sunflower-derived dye and turmeric-derived dye, with optional TiO2 nanoparticles to impart ultraviolet resistance and improve optical stability and durability. The resulting biofilm provides a material platform for converting vegetable bio-waste into value-added transparent film products having flexibility and mechanical integrity, with potential applications in protective coatings, packaging, optical laminates and related film-based applications.
