Abstract: 27 ABSTRACT VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT FOR REAL-TIME SAFETY MONITORING AND INTERVENTION An integrated vehicle control system designed to enhance vehicular safety through real-time monitoring and automatic response to critical hazards is disclosed. A Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) acts as the central processor, analyzing data from sensors, including an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), throttle voltage, motor RPM, and brake input, to address safety risks such as falls, excessive reverse speeds, unintended motion, and uncontrolled acceleration. Upon detecting hazards like falls, the system deactivates the motor and activates hazard lights. Reverse speed violations trigger motor shutdown if thresholds are exceeded for a defined duration. Unintended motion during idle states and uncontrolled acceleration are mitigated by analyzing key parameters and intervening when necessary. Configurable safety thresholds and fail-safe redundancies ensure adaptability across diverse vehicle platforms. Alerts are communicated via CAN broadcasts, IoT notifications, and dashboards. The system's ability to differentiate between natural operational scenarios and hazardous conditions ensures precise and reliable safety interventions. Ref. Fig. 2
