Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system (100) and a method (700) of vehicle-grid communication security. The system (100) enables layer-aware quantum-resilient communication between an Electric Vehicle (EV) (106), a Charging Station (EVSE) (108), a Backend Control System (110), and a Power Grid Infrastructure (112) through coordinated post-quantum cryptographic authentication and quantum key distribution. The system (100) receives authentication information through a communication interface (104), validates Dilithium-signed credentials, establishes mutually authenticated communication sessions using CRYSTALS-Kyber key encapsulation, and generates session keys for encrypted communication. The system (100) further coordinates measurement-device- independent quantum key distribution and Bennett-Brassard 1984 (BB84) quantum key distribution, performs basis reconciliation, quantum bit error rate validation, error correction, privacy amplification, key lifecycle management, and anomaly detection, thereby enabling secure electric vehicle-to-grid communication and grid- control data exchange. The system (100) enables quantum-resilient authenticated communication with secure key management, long-term confidentiality, forward secrecy, and protection against quantum-enabled attacks.
