MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611062660 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on May 18, 2026, for Vehicular Safety System.

Inventor includes Jitendra Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a vehicular safety system (100) for real-time behavioural analytics and automated vehicle immobilization. The system (100) comprises a sensing unit (105) configured to detect breath alcohol concentration, an authentication unit (120) configured to obtain biometric data, a controller (110) configured to process signals and determine vehicle operational status, and an actuator (115) configured to control vehicle ignition. The controller (110) enables ignition upon verifying authorized user identity and acceptable alcohol levels and disables operation upon detecting unsafe conditions. The sensing unit (105) includes gas sensing and signal processing mechanisms, while the actuator (115) comprises a relay-based ignition cutoff unit with fail-safe operation. The controller (110) further generates encrypted control commands and dynamically updates control parameters. A method (200) includes capturing biometric data, measuring alcohol levels, evaluating safety thresholds, enabling ignition under safe conditions, and disabling operation under unsafe conditions.
