MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421104385 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on December 30, 2024, for Vibration Isolation Bracket For Mounting Electrical And Avionics Equipment In An Aircraft.

Inventors include Dwivedi Sunil Kumar; and Thakur Santosh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: Electrical and Avionics units on an aircraft are very sensitive to vibrational loads that are encountered during a flight. These units are susceptible to failure when there is even a slight change in vibrational loads exceeding the loads at which the units are qualified. A vibration isolation bracket with shock absorbers is therefore envisaged to reduce the levels of vibration coming on the unit from any direction. The shock absorbers are made of natural rubber and are capable of absorbing vibrational loads in any direction as per installation. The vibration isolation bracket is installed directly on the frames of aircraft with screws fitted in shock absorbers. The electrical / avionics units are installed on this vibration isolation bracket with screws. These vibration isolation brackets can be installed under electrical /avionics units suspended inside the aircraft or suspended in a pylon under the wing or fuselage.
