Abstract: The invention relates to intelligent driver assistance and vehicular safety systems, and particularly to a system and method employing multi-modal sensor fusion and geospatial context for predictive road hazard detection, surrounding vehicle behavior analysis, and driver assistance. An environmental sensing arrangement including one or more cameras, an optional depth-generating sensor, and positioning and onboard sensing sources supplies synchronized data to a perception layer having an object and hazard detection block, a road condition analysis block, and a surrounding vehicle monitoring block. The system identifies a safe roadway region, a pothole or degradation region, and a missing infrastructure zone, tracks surrounding vehicles, classifies stable trajectory history indicators and erratic trajectory history indicators, generates a behavioral prediction heatmap, derives a unified hazard state, and outputs prioritized warnings or adaptive guidance through a driver interface.
