MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617070760 A) filed by Beijing Agroaladdin Biotechnology Co. , Ltd. on June 06, 2026, for Vipr1l Protein, And The Use Thereof In Biopesticides And Biological Breeding.

Inventors include Qi, Junsheng; and Gong, Zhizhong.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: A VIPR1L protein and the use thereof in biopesticides and biological breeding. The protein is localized on a cell membrane and participates in the resistance effect of plants on verticillium wilt; has the effects of improving germination of wheat and corn and promoting plant growth; can induce the drought tolerance, salt tolerance and disease resistance of plants; can increase the content of chlorophyll and improve the yield of all crops comprising cereal crops (such as corn), vegetables, fruits and tea leaves; improves the content of tea polyphenols; enhances the flavor of tomatoes and the like; and improves the quality of melons, fruits, tea leaves and the like. A biological formulation prepared on the basis of the protein and a coding DNA thereof has good application prospects in regulating and controlling growth and development or immunity or stress resistance responses of plants, improving the yield, and producing green-flavored fruits and vegetables.
