Abstract: The present invention discloses a virtual reality based rehabilitation system for improving upper extremity motor function in neurological patients. The system comprises a computing device, virtual task generation module, scoring engine, adaptive progression controller, and feedback generation module configured to provide task-specific virtual rehabilitation exercises, real-time performance assessment, adaptive difficulty modification, and performance-contingent visual and/or auditory feedback. The same virtual task is utilized for therapeutic training and performance assessment within a unified rehabilitation workflow. The invention further includes an avatar-based motivational feedback mechanism and therapeutic protocol control module for standardized rehabilitation delivery. The system enables objective task- specific motor rehabilitation, adaptive therapeutic progression, and improved patient engagement for enhanced neurological recovery.
