Abstract: The present invention relates to a Voice and Vision Integrated Assistive System for visually impaired individuals, designed to provide real-time environmental awareness and interactive audio feedback. The system integrates computer vision, voice interaction, wireless communication, and embedded processing in a distributed architecture. A camera captures live video frames, which are processed on a computing device using OpenCV and YOLO-based object detection. Detected objects are transmitted via low-latency UDP to an ESP32 microcontroller, which fuses the data with voice commands received from a mobile device. Context-aware responses are generated and converted into speech using Text-to-Speech (TTS), providing clear audio feedback to the user. The system operates as a real-time loop, offering hands- free, modular, and scalable functionality. The inventive integration of vision detection and voice-controlled interaction ensures improved accessibility, responsiveness, and independence for visually impaired users, overcoming limitations of existing assistive technologies.
