MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641085454 A) filed by Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College on July 13, 2026, for Wall Cleaning Robot.

Inventors include B. Parthiban; Dr. S. Anbumalar; Dr. D. Raja; and K. Thangaraj.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The titled invention discloses a semi-autonomous wall and ceiling cleaning robot capable of climbing vertical and overhead surfaces using aerodynamic adhesion while performing efficient cleaning operations. The robot comprises a BLDC motor (2) that drives a tri-blade propeller to generate reverse aerodynamic thrust that presses the robot against the wall, thereby providing sufficient friction for stable climbing without the need for conventional vacuum adhesion. The vacuum cleaning unit (7), driven by a DC motor, removes dust, cobwebs, and debris through suction while collecting the contaminants in a filtering chamber. The ESP32 microcontroller (1) controls adhesion, locomotion, and cleaning operations and communicates with the web dashboard (10) through the Wi-Fi communication module (11), enabling users to remotely operate the robot using any web-enabled device. The DC gear motors (4) provide controlled locomotion, while the electronic speed controller (3) and motor driver circuit (6) regulate motor operation for stable movement. By combining reverse propeller thrust technology and intelligent control, this robotic solution offers a safer, more efficient, and user-friendly method for maintaining clean ceiling sidewalls.
