Abstract: ABSTRACT WARM SAND-BITUMEN-SULPHUR PAVING MIX AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF The present invention provides a bituminous mix composition, namely warm sand–bitumen–sulphur (SBS) mix suitable for road paving applications. The disclosure presents a process or procedure like any design of mix such as concrete or conventional bituminous mix, that utilizes sand (as the major aggregate), sulphur, bituminous binder modified with non-surfactant wax additive, and/or small quantities of crusher dust and fillers, finally produced at a relatively lower temperature than a conventional one. Different processes were optimized to prepare the aforesaid mix which involves controlled mixing and compaction involving lower temperature condition as compared with prevailing and existing practices of hot paving mixes.
