Abstract: The present invention discloses WaxAway Wipes™, a xylene-free pre-moistened wipe product designed for removal of paraffin wax deposits from microtomes, histopathology instruments, and laboratory work surfaces. Paraffin wax contamination is a frequent operational issue in histopathology laboratories and is conventionally managed using scraping or toxic clearing agents such as xylene. WaxAway Wipes™ comprise an absorbent wipe substrate impregnated with a wax dissolving composition containing coconut oil or mineral oil as a wax solvent base, a mild surfactant to lift wax residues, and isopropyl alcohol to enhance drying and reduce greasy remnants. The wipes are packaged in sealed sachets or airtight containers to preserve stability. The invention provides a safe, low-odor, biodegradable and cost-effective alternative to xylene for routine laboratory cleaning and maintenance, thereby improving biosafety, reducing chemical hazards, and enhancing workflow efficiency
