Abstract: Provided is a wearable article manufacturing method that makes it possible to achieve a reduction in size of a manufacturing facility. This wearable article manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing a wearable article having: an absorbent body that is placed on the crotch of a wearer and extends in a first direction between a first end and a second end; a first torso member that is connected to the absorbent body on the first end side and is placed on the front of the torso of the wearer when the wearable article is worn; and a second torso member that is connected to the absorbent body on the second end side and is placed on the back of the torso of the wearer when the wearable article is worn. The wearable article manufacturing method comprises: a step for conveying a sheet (S) to be formed into the first torso member and the second torso member in a second direction (D2); and a folding step. The second direction is orthogonal to the width direction (W) of the sheet, and the width direction of the sheet extends along the torso of the wearer when the wearable article is worn on the wearer. In the folding step, opposite ends of the conveyed sheet in the width direction are folded toward the center in the width direction of the sheet.
