Abstract: A wearable bio-electronic device for electro-kinetic extraction of mineral cations from keratinous fibers, comprising an insulated cap 101, a silver-plated nylon mesh 102 acting as a cathode, a disposable, hydrophilic paper or fabric liner 103 pre-saturated with a low-concentration electrolyte solution, as a disposable collection layer 104 collects extracted mineral cations, a conductive neck-band or grounding strap 105 in contact with a user's skin as an anode and enables completion of the circuit during electro-kinetic extraction of mineral cations, an insulation shell 106 provides electrical isolation and safety for the user during electro-kinetic extraction, a printed circuit board (PCB), a current limiter regulates current to a safe level in range of 0.5mA to 4mA, a power on button to switch on the device, and a rechargeable battery to power the PCB and create a potential difference between the anode and the cathode.
