MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078278 A) filed by Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College on June 25, 2026, for Wearable Device With Ai For Real-Time Asthma Risk Assessment And Alerts.
Inventors include T. Logasundari; Dr. A. Vijiyalakshmi; M. Vadivelan; K. Babu; and Actchaya V.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The titled invention discloses a wearable device with artificial intelligence (Al) for realtime asthma risk assessment and automated health alert generation. The system comprises a heart rate and SpO2 monitoring sensor (1), an air quality monitoring sensor (2), a temperature and humidity sensor (3), a microcontroller (4), an Al risk io analysis unit (5), a display unit (6), a software output module (7), a cloud platform (8), a user device interface (9), a push button switch (10), LED indicators (11), and a USB power supply (12). The sensing components continuously monitor physiological and environmental parameters and transmit the collected data to the microcontroller for processing. The Al risk analysis unit evaluates the processed data to assess asthma is risk and predict potential asthma exacerbations. Upon detecting an increased asthma risk, the system generates real-time alerts through the display unit and software output module, while the cloud platform enables remote monitoring through the user device interface, thereby supporting timely preventive intervention and improved respiratory health management.
