Abstract: A wearable gas-cylinder lifting assistance device, comprises of a wearable body 101 configured to be worn on a user's torso while lifting a cylinder, a stabilization belt 102 to secure the user’s waist and limit lateral and rotational movement of the load relative to the user’s spine, multiple IMUs integrated with the body 101 and coupled with hall effect sensors to monitor 3D orientation of the body 101 , a sensing unit 104 provided with the body 101 to identify cylinder type, a pair of four-bar linkage 105 mounted on the body 101 and each equipped with a claw-type end effector 106 to redistribute heavy loads of the cylinder, a weight redistribution and tipping prevention module 107 provided with the body 101 to re-center shifting loads, and a haptic posture correction suite 108 integrated with the body 101 to detect and guide the user toward a neutral posture.
