MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124646 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on October 15, 2026, for Wearable Posture Monitoring System With Display Brightness Feedback And Productivity Interval Integration.
Inventors include Kalyanbrata; Sujay B; and Shantanu S Bhat.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT WEARABLE POSTURE MONITORING SYSTEM WITH DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS FEEDBACK AND PRODUCTIVITY INTERVAL INTEGRATION A posture monitoring system (100) includes an orientation sensing module (102) providing an output signal representative of a user orientation, an embedded processing unit (108) computing a deviation value relative to a calibrated baseline, and a host computing device (114) having a display (120). The host computing device (114) classifies the deviation value into one of a plurality of predetermined posture states, including acceptable and deviated posture states. A single actuation of a calibration input module (106) causes the embedded processing unit (108) both to store the output signal as the calibrated baseline and to initiate a cyclically repeating sequence of alternating working and break periods, advanced independently of the deviation computation. The host computing device (114) sets display brightness to one of a plurality of discrete predetermined levels corresponding to the classified state and restores a normal level upon reclassification to the acceptable state.
