Abstract: WEARABLE REAL-TIME CONTINUOUS TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INPATIENT HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENTS Abstract A wearable real-time continuous temperature monitoring system and method for inpatient hospital environments is disclosed. The invention comprises a compact skin-adhered wearable patch including at least one precision temperature sensor, an embedded microcontroller, wireless communication circuitry, rechargeable power subsystem, and cloud-connected backend infrastructure. The wearable patch continuously acquires patient temperature measurements and transmits the measurements through BLE and/or Wi-Fi communication protocols to a centralized analytics platform. The backend infrastructure performs real-time data storage, threshold analysis, trend analysis, and automated alert generation for fever, hypothermia, rapid thermal variation, device disconnect, and low battery conditions. A clinician-facing centralized dashboard simultaneously displays real-time and historical temperature information for multiple patients, enabling early identification of thermal deterioration, reduced nursing workload, improved clinical response time, and scalable continuous monitoring across hospital wards, ICUs, recovery units, and emergency care environments.
