Abstract: The invention relates to wearable industrial safety systems, and particularly to a garment-based safety platform for underground mining and hazardous environments. A garment carries an environmental sensing unit including at least one gas sensing element, a temperature sensing element, and a humidity sensing element, a motion sensing unit including an accelerometer and a gyroscope, a processing unit, a communication unit, a local alert interface, a manual emergency activation switch, a location tracking unit, and a portable power subsystem. The processing unit acquires and correlates environmental and motion data, performs threshold comparison, temporal validation, and multi-sensor correlation and event evaluation to classify warning, hazardous, and emergency conditions including gas hazards, fall events, inactivity, abnormal posture, and combined-risk events, and actuates local alerts and wireless emergency messages with location data, optionally with image data from an image capture module.
