Abstract: ABSTRACT WEARABLE TMJ THERAPY DEVICE AND METHOD A wearable temporomandibular joint (TMJ) therapy device and method are provided for delivering localized therapy to a user’s masseter/TMJ region. The device includes a face/jaw-mountable body, a clench sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of jaw clenching activity, a heating module, a temperature sensor providing a temperature signal associated with the heating module and/or a skin-interface region, and a controller coupled to the sensors and heating module. The controller detects a clench event when the sensor signal satisfies one or more clench criteria and automatically enables heating and controls heating power to keep temperature at or below a therapeutic target range. Heating is automatically disabled upon one or more safety conditions including over-temperature, excessive temperature rise rate, exceeding a maximum session time, or sensor anomaly detection.
