Abstract: Disclosed is a wearable weight-offloading apparatus for assisting a wearer during standing, semi-seated resting, and kneeling activity. The apparatus comprises a limb- mounted carrier adapted to be worn along a leg and secured by a retention band positioned at an upper region of the limb-mounted carrier. A thigh-receiving seat is joined to the upper region of the limb-mounted carrier and is positioned behind a thigh to receive body load when the wearer moves toward a resting posture. An elongated load-transfer frame extends downwardly from the thigh-receiving seat along the leg and conducts the body load toward a lower region of the limb-mounted carrier. A ground-contact support is joined to the lower region beneath the thigh-receiving seat and engages a ground surface to transfer the body load from the thigh to the ground surface.
