MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094235 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Welding Electrode Holding Device.

Abstract: A welding electrode holding device, comprising a cylindrical housing 101 having a rod 102 attached perpendicularly with the housing 101 for enabling a user to acquire a grip onto the housing 101, a motorized chuck 103 disposed at an end of a telescopic link 104 attached at an end of the housing 101 for gripping an electrode within the chuck 103, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 installed on the housing 101 to determine a position of a work piece and a suction unit 107 attached on the housing 101 to clean the work piece.
