The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT 5 10 15 The present disclosure provides a method for antenna calibration in a time division duplex (TDD) wireless communication system. The method includes defining a calibration reference signal that fits within an available time gap outside of the active region of a TDD frame and that supports the desired bandwidth of a wideband OFDM system, while confirming to the emission requirements. The method further includes transmitting the calibration reference signal during the available time gap and performing antenna calibration based on the transmitted calibration reference signal without disrupting live traffic. The calibration reference signal may be transmitted or received through multiple antenna ports for transmit or receive calibration respectively, and phases of the feedback from the calibration signal are compared to determine the calibration coefficients.
