Abstract: The invention relates to a wind-effect assessment tool for roofs of low-rise structures. The disclosed tool comprises an input interface, a roof-zone identifier, a wind data input, a wind-effect assessment module, and an output report generator. Roof data and wind data are received, roof zones are identified, and wind effects are assessed for generating an output report. The invention assists in roof design review, safety assessment, and construction planning. The invention is useful for structural engineers, civil engineering consultants, architects, construction planners, roof inspectors, and building authorities dealing with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional low-rise structures.
