MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094255 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Wind-Harnessing Sailing Device For Bicycles.
Inventors include Sushil Kamboj; Kapil Mehta; Anuj K. Gupta; Priyanka Sethi; Jagatpreet Singh; and Shriya Dogra.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: A wind-harnessing sailing device for bicycles comprises of a frame 101 having a pair of rods 109 arranged in a conjoining manner to be detachably attached to a bicycle by means of a L-shaped rod 201, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 integrated in the frame 101 for capturing and processing multiple images of frame 101, a touch interactive display panel 103 associated with the device is actuated by an inbuilt microcontroller to display captured images, an inverted U-shaped member 104 is integrated in between unattached ends of rods for providing support to rods, an anemometer embedded on frame 101 for detecting speed and direction of wind blowing, a motorized ball and socket joint 202 integrated in between rod and frame 101 to move the frame 101, a weight block 105 arranged on member 104 by means of an extendable link 106 for positioning weight block 105 in a suitable direction.
