MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647087899 A) filed by Koninklijke Philips N. V. on July 17, 2026, for Wireless Power Transfer.
Inventors include Veltman, Eddy, Gerrit; Staring, Antonius, Adriaan, Maria; and Agafonov, Aleksei.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: A power transmitter (101) provides wireless power to a power receiver (105) via an electromagnetic power transfer signal. The power transmitter (101) comprises a data receiver (207, 209) which performs a receive operation to receive load modulation data symbols modulated onto the power transfer signal by the power receiver. Each load modulation data symbol value is represented by a different modulation chip sequence comprising a plurality of chips. During non-communication time intervals, the power receiver load modulates an idle chip sequence onto the power transfer signal. A chip difference determiner (211) determines a chip difference measure indicative of a difference between a reference chip sequence and a received idle chip sequence. A channel quality determiner (213) determines a communication channel quality measure for the load modulation communication channel in dependence on the chip difference measure. An adapter (215) adapts a parameter of the receive operation in dependence on the communication channel quality measure.
