Abstract: WOODEN INFUSION VESSEL COMPRISING SYZYGIUM CUMINI HEARTWOOD Abstract The present invention relates to a wooden infusion vessel (100) fabricated from seasoned heartwood of Syzygium cumini. The vessel (100) comprises a body (101) having an internal cavity for storing potable water, internal micro- machined grooves or ribbing (102) configured to increase surface-area-to-volume interaction, a porous heartwood interface (103) exposed on an inner surface for facilitating passive diffusion of naturally occurring constituents into water, and a moisture-lock base (104) configured to prevent leakage along grain structure. The vessel (100) is manufactured through a process (200) comprising wood selection and seasoning (201), precision boring and lathing (202), and surface activation (203) to form the grooves (102) and porous interface (103). In use, potable water is stored for a passive infusion cycle (204) of 8–10 hours, enabling controlled diffusion of phytoconstituents into the water without external additives or energy input. The invention provides a reusable, structurally stable, and engineered infusion system for controlled liquid–wood interaction applications.
