Abstract: ABSTRACT Plant diseases significantly affect agricultural productivity and food security, especially when not detected at an early stage. Traditional disease diagnosis methods are manual, time-consuming, and lack scalability. The present invention proposes AgriSense AI, an intelligent image-based system for automated plant leaf disease detection using the YOLOv8 object detection model combined with severity prediction and environmental awareness. The system processes leaf images through stages of image acquisition, preprocessing, real-time disease detection, and severity estimation based on infected area analysis. Additionally, it integrates contextual data such as GPS-based geo-tagging and real-time weather information (temperature, humidity, rainfall) to enhance decision-making.The system accurately detects multiple diseases simultaneously, classifies infection severity into Mild, Moderate, and Severe levels, and provides actionable treatment recommendations. Experimental results demonstrate high detection a
