India, Jan. 2 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Dr. Bharat Ratna, the creator of the Indian Constitution . A special program is being organized on the 86th anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar 's branch meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on 2 January 1940 in Karad . In memory of this historical event and with the aim of strengthening the values of brotherhood and unity in the society , ' Bandhuta Parishad 2026' and Apulaki Milan ceremony will be organized on Friday , January 2 , 2026 at 4 pm at Bhawani Maidan , Pantancha Kot , Somwar Peth , Karad .
This is the same historic site where Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar presented a gift to the Sangha branch . In his speech on that occasion , Dr. Ambedkar said , " Despite some differences , I view this Sangha with a sense of belonging . " This quote was published in the newspaper " Kesari " ( January 9 , 1940 ) and the weekly " Janata " ( January 20 , 1940 ) . This incident is a unique example of maintaining affinity and brotherhood despite differences in society .
The event 's chief guest will be Shri Shivendrasinh Raje Bhosale ( Minister of Public Works , Maharashtra State ) . The keynote speaker will be Shri Kishore Makwana , Honorable Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes . Padmashree Milind Kamble ( National President , DICCI - Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ) will be in special attendance .
The program is being organized by Lok Kalyan Mandal Trust , Karad . This program is an important effort to promote the message of social harmony , unity and brotherhood .
