Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed today in Lok Sabha that as on date, 508 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) are functional across the country. State and UT-wise status of functional EMRSs is given at Annexure.
In the State of Odisha, 114 EMRSs have been sanctioned out of which 47 EMRSs are functional. None of the blocks in Dhenkanal and Angul districts fulfil the prescribed criteria for establishing EMRS as per existing scheme guidelines.
