GUWAHATI, India, June 6 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on May 6:
Heard Mr. R. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. U. Sarma, learned standing counsel for the respondents in the Secondary Education Department and Mr. A. Chaliha, learned standing counsel for the respondents in the Finance Department.
During the course of hearing, Mr. Sarma, learned standing counsel for the respondents in the Secondary Education Department has produced a letter of the Director of Secondary Education addressed to the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, dated 01.05.2025, wherein a request was made to look into the matter and to accord necessary approval for creation of five posts of Tutor. Mr. Sarma further submits that up-todate information is not available with him as to whether this letter was forwarded to the Finance Department or not and he prays for listing the matters on 08.05.2025, so as to enable him to obtain necessary instruction.
Prayer is allowed.
List the matters on 08.05.2025, at 2 p.m.
The letter produced by Mr. Sarma shall be part of the record.
