GUWAHATI, India, Sept. 18 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Aug. 19:
Mr. M. Bhagabati, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would like to array the State Bank of India as a party respondent as the retirement benefits payable to the petitioner although released by the respondent authority, however, the same have not been permitted to withdraw from the Bank by the petitioner. He submits, therefore, the Bank is a necessary party and is required to be arrayed as party respondent. Prayer is not objected to by Mr. C Baruah, learned Standing Counsel, Accountant General and Mr. N. Upadhaya, learned Standing Counsel, Irrigation Department.
List the matter after 2 (two) weeks.
The parties, in the meantime, is also permitted to exchange their pleadings.
