GUWAHATI, India, Sept. 25 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Aug. 26:
Heard Mr. M. Nath, learned Sr. Counsel assisted by Mr. D. L. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioner also heard Mr. S. C. Keyal, learned Standing Counsel for Assam University/Respondents No. 1-5.
It is seen that notice was not issued to the respondents No. 6 & 7. Accordingly, notice being issued to respondents No. 6 & 7 through registered post with AD within 3 (three) working days returnable by 2 (Two) weeks.
Mr. S. C. Keyal, learned Standing Counsel, submits that there is urgency in the matter and that he has received instructions for which the matter can be disposed of at an early stage.
In view of the above submissions, list the matter on 17.09.2025, wherein the interim order dated 22.08.2025 may continue till the next date of listing and its further continuation will be considered on the next date.
