GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 25 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Oct. 27:
1. Heard Mr. S. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.
2. This petition under Section 482 BNSS is filed by the petitioner, namely, Smti. Salema Khatun, apprehending arrest in connection with Juria P.S. Case No. 179/202 under Section 318(2)/336(3)/340(2) of BNS, 2023.
3. The allegation in the FIR dated 27.06.2025 is that the petitioner submitted forged educational qualification.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the order dated 28.07.2025, the petitioner appeared before the investigating officer and recorded her statement.
5. Mr. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in the mean time, charge sheet has been submitted in this case.
6. Considering the cooperation rendered by the petitioner as well as the present stage of the case - the interim protection granted vide dated 28.07.2025 is hereby made absolute subject to the conditions - that the petitioner shall be available for trial if one commences; and that the petitioner shall not hamper or tamper with evidence.
7. Violation or breach of condition(s) shall entail cancellation of the bail.
8. The petition stands disposed of accordingly. 9. Send back the case diary.
