RANCHI, India, Oct. 9 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Sept. 9:
1. Heard learned counsels for petitioner and for State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Tapkara P.S. Case No.08 of 2025, for offence registered under section 317(50, 325, 3(5) of BNS, 2023 section 11(1)(a), 11(1)(d), 11(1)(3), 11(1)(f) of Prevention Cruelty to Animals Act, 1990 and section o1291) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in court of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khunti.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that only the false allegations have been made against the petitioner of escorting the vehicle on which bovine animal was being carried. She submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph no.13 of the petition.
4. Learned State counsel opposes prayer and submits that petitioner was escorting the vehicle on which bovine animal was being carried.
5. Considering that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as aforesaid and only allegation has been made against the petitioner that the petitioner was escorting the vehicle on which bovine animal was being carried, the petitioner above named is directed to surrender before learned court within two weeks from today and learned court shall release petitioner, above named, on such terms and conditions as well as sureties as learned court may deed fit and proper.
6. This petition is disposed of.
