RANCHI, India, Sept. 16 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Aug. 18:

1. Heard learned counsel representing the petitioner and learned counsel representing the respondents.

2. By filing this writ petition, the petitioner, who is an Assistant Teacher, claims transfer from Middle School, Beldanga Block, Barharwa, District Sahibganj, Jharkhand, to Government M.S. Boys School, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Jharkhand. 3. The petitioner seeks the aforesaid transfer on the ground of his personal health, as he is suffering from several ailments.

4. During the course of argument, learned counsel representing the respondent - State, submits that the petitioner has not applied in terms of Notification No.1556 dated 08.06.2022, as the petitioner was supposed to apply online but he failed to do so, thus his case cannot be considered.

5. At this stage, learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner will file an online application and in turn the respondents be directed to consider the same once the same is filed.

6. Considering the aforesaid submission, I direct the petitioner, if he so wishes, to apply online requesting his transfer.

7. On filing of such online application, the respondent Authority will take appropriate steps as per the Rules & Regulations governing transfer and will pass an appropriate order within ten weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order along with the proof of application which the petitioner has filed online, seeking transfer. 8. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
