RANCHI, India, Jan. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 15:

1. Heard Mr. Prem Mardi, learned counsel for the appellant and learned Spl.P.P. appearing for the State.

2. This appeal is directed against the order dated 15.10.2025 passed in B.P. No.1329 of 2025, arising out of Bero P.S. Case No. 48 of 2025, by the learned Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi whereby and where under the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

3. It has been alleged that a mob of 500 persons had gathered and surrounded the Sarna Sthal and started chanting anti-Sarna slogans which led to scuffle between the police and the mob and several properties and other materials were destroyed.

4. Submission has been advanced by learned counsel for the appellant that the allegations are general and omnibus in nature. It has further been submitted that one of the co-accused similarly situated has been granted bail of this Court in Cr. Ap. (DB) No. 1514 of 2025. Learned counsel submits that the appellant is in custody since 17.09.2025.

5. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

6. Regard being had to the generality of the allegations levelled against the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 15.10.2025 passed in B.P. No.1329 of 2025, arising out by Bero P.S. Case No. 48 of 2025, by the learned Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi, direct the appellant to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Ranchi.

7. Accordingly, this appeal stands allowed and disposed of.
