RANCHI, India, Dec. 23 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 24:

This appeal is directed against the order dated 10.09.2025 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Chatra in Misc. Criminal Application No.1670 of 2025 arising out of Chatra Sadar P.S. Case No.390 of 2017, whereby and whereunder prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that the pamphlets and posters were pasted on behalf of TSPC for realization of levy and extending threats to the stone crusher owners.

Submission have been advanced on behalf of learned counsel on behalf of appellant that the allegations are general and omnibus in nature. So far as the present appellant is concerned, it has been submitted that the appellant is in custody since 03.03.2021. It has further been submitted that one of the co-accused namely Dipak Kumar @ Bhikhan Ganjhu has been granted bail by this Court in Cr. Appeal (D.B.) No.1443 of 2022.

Learned Special P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant and has submitted that the appellant has got several criminal antecedents.

Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant and the fact that one of the co-accused similarly situated has been granted bail by this Court as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 10.09.2025 passed in Misc. Criminal Application No.1670 of 2025 arising out of Chatra Sadar P.S. Case No.390 of 2017 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Chatra, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below, subject to the condition that the appellant shall remain physically present before the learned trial court on each and every date till conclusion of the trial.

This appeal is allowed.
